💬 Social
Be better online: clearer, kinder, and more respectful conversations.
Be human online
Behind every avatar is a person. Default to kindness, even when you disagree.
Disagree without being cruel
- Address ideas, not people. “I see it differently because…” beats “You’re wrong.”
- Don’t dogpile. If someone has already been corrected, don’t add a 10th correction.
- Assume good intent first. Tone is easy to misread.
Emojis in social spaces
Emojis are great for tone — especially in short messages. Just avoid using them as a substitute for clarity when the topic is important.
